This is an excellent time of year to hit the Crooked River. The temps are really cooling down out there and fish can be caught all day long. This river has really improved from last spring when people were catching very few whitefish at best. The Trout are plentiful now. I look for this river to continue to improve greatly as long as nothing too dramatic happens to the river this winter. 8-12in Rainbows with an occasional larger fish is what we've been seeing out there. Pheasant Tails, Prince Nymphs, Scuds, Egg Patterns, San Juan worms and try some blue-wings and caddis on the surface.
