It's Winter time on the Metolius, so expect some additional angling pressure for the hollidays. If you are willing to do a little extra hiking you should have better fishing and plenty of elbow room. Bull trout fishing is pretty good, especially if you find areas that see fewer anglers(see above). As for the Rainbows, the BWO hatches are bringing the fish to the surface, but being in the right place at the right time isn't always easy.

Deschutes River- LowerTrout: Trout fishing has closed on all portions of the lower Deschutes adjoining the Warm Springs Reservation but trout fishing has continued to be really good from the northern reservation deadline down to the confluence of the White River.
