Fall Chinook fishing has picked up on the Salmon River but overall continues to be slow. The forecasted rain this weekend and next week should stir things up and improve the conditions for Chinook fishing.

Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are available throughout the Salmon River basin and provide great opportunity for some summer/fall fishing.
