Fall Chinook fishing continues to be slow on the Yaquina. Fish are now distributed throughout the estuary waiting for more rain to move them upstream. The forecasted rain should stir things up and put fish on the move.
Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are available throughout the Yaquina/Big Elk basins and provide good opportunity for summer/fall fishing.
