Fall River is offering solid spring fishing throughout the system — from the headwaters near the campground, down through the Hatchery stretch, and into the lower reaches. Blue-Winged Olive and midge hatches have been reliable, with a few March Browns and early caddis mixed in.
With warming days, terrestrial patterns like beetles and ants are beginning to become viable options. Subsurface, Perdigons with larger beads are effective for getting into the deeper slots, and Zebra Midges make a great dropper. Euro-style streamers are also drawing strikes in the tighter pockets and undercut banks.
