Fishing not recommended due to extensive drought and fire in most of the river corridor. Fishing will be best closer to the headwaters upstream of Rock Creek Campground. This section is 100 percent brook trout. Brook trout are spawning and will be concentrated and easy to catch.

Fishing below the Sycan Marsh is not recommended at this time as most of the river was dry this summer. Flows are low near the mouth at 9 cfs.
